Cow Hollow Modern Mediterranean

A tired Mediterranean home was gutted and remodeled to form a crisp clean modern background for an art collector. The ground floor was lowered to create airy high ceilings for a gallery space. A new circular stair was built to link three floors culminating with a circular skylight to flood the home with natural light. The kitchen ceiling was barrel vaulted and is illuminated with indirect lighting. In the living room, a library with illuminated shelving was added in the space of a service stair. The highlight of the master suite is a bathroom with blue glass tiles.
